Situated within a large private estate of over 2000 hectares of wild natural countryside between the mountains and the sea, La Bergerie de l'Ortolo is a beautifully renovated shepherd's dwelling, offering complete peace and privacy, and fantastic views to the coast.

The estate provides a rare and special environment where guests can immerse themselves in a genuinely authentic Corsica, far from the bustle of civilisation. The 16th century stone house has been renovated with the utmost respect to Corsican tradition, combining tasteful simplicity with modern comforts. Thick walls ensure the rooms are cool in summer, the floors are chestnut and the bedrooms painted in soft ochre colours. A large original fireplace adds to the charm.

The house is surrounded by a small garden, with an outdoor dining area with barbecue, sun loungers and a small swimming pool (4 x 5m). Activities on the estate include nature walks, fishing, wine tasting, or relaxing on the private white sand beach, just a ten minute walk away. The beach is provided with sun beds and umbrellas and is only used by a few other properties on the estate. There is also access to many other private creeks.

Prices include breakfast bakery products delivered each morning with the newspaper, grocery delivery service, daily cleaning, aquagym, aerobic classes, and vegetables picked fresh from the vegetable garden. Extras available on request include the services of a cook, sea fishing, massage, horseback riding, sea excursions and hunting.
