This prettily restored cottage is in a peaceful setting in the
heart of rural Provence. The house is situated in a small hamlet
consisting of the French owners' farmhouse and another cottage
which is also available to let. All three properties have their
own pool and are secluded from one another. The interior is charming
and full use has been made of beautiful local materials creating
a colourful and cheerful atmosphere. This is the country of lavender
fields and fruit trees and there are lovely views of hills and
open countryside from the pool terrace.
Accommodation
There is a living room which opens on to a covered terrace with
steps leading down to the pool. The kitchen is very pretty and
well equipped with a dishwasher, hob, small electric oven and
double sink, fridge-freezer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms,
each with a double bed (140cm). There is also a double sofa bed
in the living room which could accommodate two extra guests if
required. The bathroom has a shower and WC. Under the house, by
the pool, is a cool, summer dining room. There is also a shower,
WC and washing machine in the cellar area. There is a wide terrace
by the pool and a large grassy area with swings. There is plenty
of garden furniture and a barbecue. The house has an open fireplace
and electric convector heaters. There is also a television.
Situation
The house is situated about 6km from the village of Mane which
has small shops and restaurants and about 8km from Forcalquier,
a small town which has an extensive street market on Mondays,
a supermarket and a good choice of restaurants and small shops.
Aix-en-Provence is about 40 minutes drive. There is much to explore
in this area such as the Lubéron Hills, the big lake at
Saint Croix, and the spectacular Verdon Gorges. There is a golf
course at Manosque about 20 minutes drive and tennis courts at
Forcalquier. This is a relatively 'undiscovered' part of Provence
and there are many old villages to explore.

This is available for hire from the owner @ EUR 20 per person
for bed linen and indoor towels.
Terms
Refundable damage deposit EUR 225.
Electricity and heating are included.
Final clean is included. Extra cleaning available approx. EUR
10 per hour.
