This 1920s Provençal cottage is situated in 15,000m² of parkland with two other houses and the French owner's studio (she is a potter and a sculptor). The cottage has its own access and a private garden within these grounds, but tenants are free to explore the whole of the park in which the owner exhibits her work. There is an attractive covered terrace overlooking an olive grove. The house is charming inside and has been restored with imagination. It is comfortably furnished and has a light and cheerful atmosphere. There is garden furniture, a portable barbecue and a private garage.

Accommodation
There is a spacious sitting room and dining room combined. This has comfortable seating, a television and open fireplace. There is a lovely view over the grounds and the hills from the large picture window in this room. The kitchen has a 4-ring mixed hob, an electric oven and fridge. There is a freezer and washing machine in the garage. Upstairs there is a double bedroom on the wide mezzanine and a bathroom which has a bath with shower over it, bidet and wash basin. There is a separate WC on the ground floor.

Situation
Lourmarin is a typical old Provençal village in the southern Lubéron, in a beautiful setting among the vineyards. It was the home of Albert Camus. It has a sixteenth century château with concerts every Saturday in July and August. There are several restaurants, a little supermarket and a boulangerie within easy walking distance of the property. There is a swimming pool and tennis courts within 1km. Lourmarin is about 30km from Aix-en Provence and about 60km from the sea. There are music festivals and many exhibitions and cultural activities in the surrounding villages, such as Bonnieux, Oppède, Lauris, Cucuron. The Lubéron is also a wonderful area for hiking, horse-riding and rock climbing.

Linen and terms
Linen may be hired from the owners at EUR 15 per person for bed linen and towels. Refundable damage deposit EUR 150.
Electricity is extra. Heating is extra (out of season) EUR 30 per week. Femme de ménage available upon request. Sorry no pets.
