Swimming pool 10.5m x 5m approx
This newly renovated village house is situated on the edge of
Villelaure, a small Provençal village to the south of the
Lubéron Hills. The interior is cheerful and has been imaginatively
and tastefully restored. The garden and pool are separate from
the house and are about 20m away down a quiet lane. In reality,
this is a very minor inconvenience but it is the reason why this
property is such excellent value for money. There is a poolhouse
with summer kitchen which has a hob, sink, fridge, barbecue and
garden furniture. There are loungers for sunbathing by the pool,
an outdoor shower and a boules pitch. The French owners like to
use the pool occasionally but they try to avoid using it when
tenants are there. There is a shaded parking space for 2 cars
outside the property.
Accommodation
There is an attractive open plan living room with well-equipped
kitchen which has a 4-ring cooker and oven and large fridge. There
is a dining area and a sofa and a television. There is a bed room
with a double bed, and a pretty bathroom with shower and 2 basins
and separate WC. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. From
the living room, a fairly steep open stairway leads up to a large
mezzanine which has 2 beds, both are wide singles, 120cm. There
is electric heating.
Situation
The property is situated about 500m from an excellent boulangerie
and general store. Villelaure has a couple of other small shops
and tennis courts. There are several restaurants at Cadenet, 5km.
There is a supermarket at Pertuis which is 7km. Pertuis also has
a traditional Provençal street market. The attractive cultural
town of Aix-en-Provence is about 23km. Aix is a lively town with
endless cafés and restaurants and elegant shops. The property
is well placed for exploring the ancient villages of the Lubéron
Hills e.g. Lourmarin, Cucuron.
Linen and terms
Linen may be hired from the owner at a supplement of EUR 12 per
person for bed linen and towels. Refundable damage deposit EUR
150. Electricity is included. Final clean EUR 30, compulsory.
Femme de ménage available upon request, EUR 10 per hour.
