20km coast

This romantic little cottage was built in 1850 has recently been attractively restored. The house is detached and stands in enclosed grounds and has a large south facing terrace. The French owners also have a house in the grounds but it is does not overlook the cottage. It is in an attractive setting among the olive trees, and has all the charm of traditional Provençal buildings: very thick stone walls, exposed beams and antique, country furniture. The house is cool in summer and there is an open fireplace and electric heating making it comfortable for winter lets. There is garden furniture for outdoor meals and two loungers for sunbathing. There is also a covered parking space.

Accommodation
There is a comfortable living room which has a sofa, dining area, attractive open fireplace, television and French windows opening to the garden. There is a small kitchen area at the far end of the living room. It has a 2-ring hob, small oven, fridge and electric kettle. On the first floor there is a very pretty bedroom with two one metre beds which are side by side. There is a bathroom with a short bath 'baignoire sabot' about 1.10m long, hand held shower, bidet, basin and WC.

Situation
The cottage is situated about 2.5km from Peymeinade which is a small town with excellent shops, a supermarket, a market and a couple of restaurants, a large open air pool and tennis courts. There is a very pleasant walk down to the village from the cottage. It is about 7km west of Grasse, an interesting town renowned for its perfumeries. From a cultural point of view, there are many world class museums and art galleries at St Paul de Vence, Antibes and Nice. The coast is about 20km away and the Lac de Saint Cassien, which is excellent for watersports, is about 12km away. The property is in an excellent location for visiting some of the lovely old hilltop villages such as Cabris and Spéracèdes and yet the lively contrast of Cannes and the Côte d'Azur is within about 20 minutes drive.

Linen and terms
All the linen is provided. Refundable damage deposit EUR 150. Electricity is included. Heating is included. Pets accepted for a supplement of EUR 30 per week.
